Ski & Fly by Air-Davos Paragliding costs CHF 190 with photos and video included: a tandem paragliding flight that starts on skis in the middle of the Jakobshorn ski area in Davos, with 10–15 minutes of pure airtime and, if you like, Touch & Go landings in the snow and a turn at the controls out over the valley. Winter only, while the lifts are running; meeting point is the Jakobshorn base station in Davos Platz.
A few metres down the slope, then the glider rises above you and lifts you gently out of the snow: Ski & Fly rolls skiing and paragliding into one winter experience above Davos, with around 1,000 metres of winter air beneath your skis. No paragliding experience needed, good skiing is all it takes, your pilot handles the rest. Pick a date, meet us at the Jakobshorn cable car, take off.
Your launch: a few metres on your skis, then the air takes over
We meet at the base station of the Jakobshorn cable car in Davos Platz (Brämabüelstrasse 11), or if you prefer, right up in the Jakobshorn or Parsenn ski area. The cable car lifts us around 1,000 metres, where your pilot checks the weather and wind and picks the best launch spot.
After a briefing, the two of you ski a few metres straight down the slope. Then the wing comes up overhead, your edges lose the snow, and you're flying. You don't need any paragliding experience for this, just solid skiing skills.
In the air, you call the shots: touch down, steer or just glide
Touch & Go is possible whenever you like: we touch down briefly on our skis in the snow and lift straight off again. Out over the valley you can even take the controls yourself, feel real G-forces in manoeuvres, or glide quietly over the white mountains of Davos while the pistes shrink beneath you. You can talk to your pilot the whole time, and he flies it the way you want it.
Pure airtime is 10–15 minutes, depending on conditions. How much action goes into it is up to you.
Land in the snow, keep on skiing
You land softly in the snow right next to the valley run at the Carjöl chairlift, just a 5-minute walk from the Jakobshorn base station and Davos Platz train station. Click back into your skis and you're straight back on the piste, no detours. If you fly from Klosters, you land at the sports centre.
Good to know: fair and simple
Wear warm ski clothing with gloves and ski goggles or sunglasses. Ski boots are no problem, we provide the helmet, and your own ski helmet works just as well. Allow 1.5–2 hours for the whole experience. One thing the price doesn't cover: your lift ticket; in winter your ski pass simply takes care of that.
We only fly in safe conditions. We check the weather a few days before your date and get in touch; if it doesn't fit, you can reschedule or cancel free of charge.
