No, you don't need any previous experience for a tandem paragliding flight. Your pilot handles take-off, steering and landing. You'll get a briefing beforehand, then a few quick steps at launch and the air carries you. Average fitness is all it takes.

Yes. The tandem pilots at Air-Davos Paragliding are certified by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA); some have been flying for over 35 years, and together they've flown more than 18,000 flights in this region. The equipment is certified and checked regularly. Nervous before your first flight? Almost everyone is, and it usually fades the moment you're in the air. Fear of heights rarely comes into it either: you're not standing at an edge looking straight down, which is what usually triggers it. It feels like calm, gentle floating, and a 5.0 from over 500 Google reviews backs that up.

Flying depends on the weather, and we're upfront about that. We check the forecast a few days before your tandem flight and get in touch with you. If conditions aren't right, we reschedule or cancel free of charge. We fly in winds up to 25 km/h, with clear visibility and stable air.

Every season has its own charm for paragliding in Davos. In winter, flying conditions are usually pleasantly calm, and the flight over the deep snow-covered mountains of Davos is especially impressive. In autumn you enjoy the Indian summer from above, with autumn colours and brightly coloured trees. In spring, the cable cars usually take a longer break between seasons, ideal for morning Hike&Fly flights or thermal cross-country flights. And in summer, the usually freshening valley wind and good launch conditions make for perfect flying days.

Davos Klosters is an outstanding year-round flying area in eastern Switzerland: good infrastructure, easy launch and landing options and no airspace restrictions from airports or heliports, with flying prohibited only during the World Economic Forum. That makes the region a firm favourite among paraglider pilots, and almost since the early days of the sport, colourful wings have been part of the sky above Davos Klosters on fine days. Acro or cross-country, thermalling or soaring, Hike & Fly or a comfortable cable car ride to the launch: on the mountains around Davos there is hardly a wish left unfulfilled. Almost everyone can join a tandem paragliding flight: children from around 5 to 6 years old (under 18 with parental consent), and there's no upper age limit. If you weigh more than about 115 kg, please get in touch beforehand and we'll work out what's possible together.

For your tandem paragliding flight we recommend long trousers, sturdy shoes and a windproof jacket, plus sunglasses or ski goggles. In winter, normal ski clothing and gloves. We provide the helmet. If you're missing anything, just let us know and we'll bring it along.

Plan 1.5 to 2 hours for your tandem paragliding flight in Davos: meeting at the valley station, the cable car ride up, a briefing, the flight and the way back. Actual airtime is 15 to 35 minutes, or 35 to 60 minutes on the Thermal Flight.

Yes, your own camera is welcome on the tandem flight; please let us know in advance if it's a large one. 360-degree footage is possible on request. We can't take backpacks along on the flight.

A tandem paragliding flight in Davos costs between CHF 180 and CHF 680, depending on the flight. Our most popular one, the Panoramic Flight, is CHF 190, and high-quality photos plus a video are always included in the price. You pay by payment link in advance or on the flight day: cash, TWINT or card. If you're redeeming a voucher, you've already paid.

No: the cable car ticket is separate from the tandem flight price. You buy the single ride directly at the cable car ticket office. In winter your ski pass is valid, and in summer the Davos Klosters guest card gets you a discount.

The meeting point for your tandem flight is in Davos at the valley station of the Jakobshorn cable car (Brämabüelstrasse 11, Davos Platz), or in Klosters at the valley station of the Gotschnabahn (Gotschnastrasse 19). We'll agree on the meeting point when you book.
