Your tandem paragliding flight in Davos, made easy.
A tandem paragliding flight with Air-Davos Paragliding takes 1.5 to 2 hours from meeting point to landing. We meet at the valley station of the Jakobshorn cable car in Davos Platz or the valley station of the Gotschna cable car in Klosters. You don't need any experience: your pilot, certified by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA), takes care of everything to do with flying. How relaxed is it, really? Meeting at the valley station
We meet at the valley station of the Jakobshorn cable car in Davos Platz or at the Gotschna cable car in Klosters. You buy your cable car ticket (one way) at the ticket office. A quick hello, any last questions, and off we go.
Cable car ride to the launch site
The cable car comfortably carries us around 1,000 metres up, right into the heart of the mountains.
Briefing and take-off
Your pilot walks you through a briefing, harness on, helmet on. Butterflies? Almost everyone has them. Then a few quick steps, and the ground lets go of you. From here on, the air carries you.
Fly, land, enjoy
The valley lies beneath your feet for 15 to 35 minutes, depending on conditions, and for even longer on the Thermal Flight. Your photos and edited video with music are our gift to you, delivered the same evening via Dropbox link.
Meeting points
Davos: Jakobshorn cable car valley station, Brämabüelstrasse 11, 7270 Davos Platz. We take off on the Jakobshorn (2,530 m) and land on the meadow next to the Bolgen Plaza at 1,540 m, just a few minutes' walk from the meeting point.
Klosters: Gotschna cable car valley station, Gotschnastrasse 19, 7250 Klosters-Serneus. We take off from the Gotschna, in winter also from the Madrisa when wind conditions allow, and land at the sports centre.
What to Wear for Your Paragliding Tandem Flight in Summer
In summer, comfortable outdoor or hiking clothing is all you need: long trousers, a windproof jacket or fleece, sunglasses and sturdy shoes, ideally hiking boots. One thing really matters up here: because of the altitude, the sun and UV radiation in Davos are particularly intense, so use good sun protection (sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher).
And in summer too: if you're missing any clothing or shoes, you can borrow them from us free of charge, just let us know in advance.
What to Wear in Winter
Simply dress as you would for a day on the slopes: warm outdoor or ski clothing with a windproof jacket, fleece and gloves, plus sunglasses or ski goggles and sturdy shoes. Hiking boots, winter boots or snowboard boots all work perfectly.
Missing something? No problem: you can borrow clothing and shoes from us free of charge, just let us know in advance.
Helmet, luggage and camera
We provide the helmet, or you can wear your own ski helmet. Please don't take backpacks on the flight. Your own camera is welcome; if it's a large one, please let us know in advance.
Weather: we reschedule free of charge
Paragliding depends on the weather, and we're honest about that. We fly in winds of up to 25 km/h, with clear visibility and stable air. A few days before your date, we check the forecast and get in touch with you. If conditions aren't right, we reschedule or cancel free of charge. New date or calling it off: you decide. If you're here on holiday, it's best to allow a weather buffer of 2 to 3 days.
Payment
You pay by payment link in advance or on the flight day: cash, TWINT or card. If you're redeeming a voucher, you've already paid. Flights start from CHF 180, and photos and video are always included.
