The Gotschnabahn valley station is easy to reach by RhB / SBB train or by car, with parking right at the cable car station.

The two sections of the Gotschnabahn lift us around 1,000 metres above Klosters. That's plenty of height for a long flight with time to take it all in. Often we climb well above the launch site, and the view towards the Silvretta glacier is one we never get tired of.

Landing is easy too: in summer we touch down on a large meadow just southeast of the sports centre, in winter opposite the sports centre, right behind the children's ski school meadow. The site plans further down show you both at a glance.

With us you're never just a number: your pilot looks after you personally, from the meeting point all the way to landing.

FAQ: your questions about paragliding in Klosters

How safe is a tandem paragliding flight in Klosters?

Nervous before your first flight? Almost everyone is, and it usually fades within the first few seconds in the air. Here's what matters: paragliding is very safe when it's done by experienced pilots who know the flying area inside out and take the current weather seriously in every flight decision. That's exactly how we work: our 8 pilots are certified by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA), have flown more than 18,000 flights in this region between them, and some have been flying here since 1991.

The equipment meets strict safety standards too: manufacturers must have their products certified. We only fly current gear from leading manufacturers.

By the way: in Switzerland, paragliding is not classed as a high-risk sport.

What happens to my booking if the weather is bad on the day of the flight?

Flying depends on the weather, and we're upfront about it: we check the forecast ahead of your date and get in touch in good time. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll find a new date together. If that doesn't work with your plans, you can simply cancel. Rescheduling and cancelling cost you nothing.

Is there a weight limit for paragliding?

Yes, but it's more generous than most people expect. Each glider is certified for a specific minimum and maximum total weight (pilot + passenger + complete equipment). By pairing a lighter pilot with a heavier passenger (or the other way round) and choosing the right glider, we have plenty of leeway. At the lower end there's practically no limit: very light passengers and children fly with us without any problem. If you weigh more than 115 kg, please get in touch beforehand so we can plan your flight accordingly.

What clothing is ideal for a tandem flight?

In summer, comfortable outdoor clothing works best: long trousers, a jacket and a fleece, sunglasses to shield your eyes from the airstream, and sturdy shoes. We'll provide a flight helmet, or you can wear your own ski or snowboard helmet.

In winter, ski clothing is ideal, and launching in ski or snowboard boots is no problem at all.

Please leave backpacks behind: we can't stow them well on a tandem.

Can I store my luggage during the flight?

Our free luggage storage is at our shop in Davos, right by the "Davos Platz" railway station. For your flight in Klosters, it's best to bring only what you really need, as we can't stow bags well on the tandem.

Can I borrow clothes and shoes?

Yes, just tell us in advance and we'll bring suitable clothing and shoes to the flight at no extra cost. We keep a wide range of flying clothing on hand.

Can I take my own photos during the flight?

Absolutely! You'll receive photos and an edited video of your flight from us as a gift anyway, with the link arriving the same evening. But you're very welcome to bring your own camera too. If it's a big one (DSLR or a large mirrorless camera), let us know beforehand: we'll bring a front bag so your gear is well protected during launch and landing and doesn't swing around on the take-off run.

Will I be brought back to the meeting point?

Our landing fields in Klosters and Davos are just a short walk from the meeting point. We usually stroll back together, which is the perfect moment to relive the flight.

What physical requirements (fitness) are there for paragliding?

Average fitness is plenty: your only job is to run a few steps at take-off, and your pilot handles the rest. If walking is difficult for you, a launch can still be possible, but only in perfect wind and take-off conditions. If you're unsure whether it will work for you, please contact us in advance: we'll talk everything through and plan your flight accordingly.

What weather is best suited for paragliding?

Ideal conditions are light to moderate wind or none at all (roughly 0–25 km/h), clear visibility and stable air. We're happy to use thermal or dynamic lift to climb higher. In poor visibility, precipitation, strong wind or with thunderstorms approaching, we stay on the ground. And in foehn conditions we stay cautious even on an otherwise fine day, because the wind can turn unpredictable.

We check the forecasts several times a day, and because we live in Davos, we know the local weather and its quirks from years of experience.

Are there age restrictions for paragliding?

There is no age limit for flying tandem. Passengers under 18 need their parents' consent. Our tandem pilots have flown with their own children before the age of 2; for guest flights, we recommend a minimum age of 5 to 6.

• A renowned thermal and soaring spot: Thanks to its location and altitude, Klosters has excellent thermals all year round, which makes long, high flights possible. In summer, the smooth laminar valley wind adds superb soaring conditions.
• Flying all year round: While many regions only fly in certain seasons, we fly in Klosters in every one of them. In autumn we launch above the inversion layer, in winter above the sea of fog: when the lowlands are grey, conditions up here are often perfect.
• Convenient infrastructure: The cable cars take us right to the launch sites, and in winter we take off in the middle of the ski area. The landing fields are within walking distance of the cable car.
• Easy to get to: Klosters has a direct Rhaetian Railway connection, and the centrally located "Klosters Platz" station is right next to the Gotschnabahn valley station. Coming by car is just as easy: thanks to regular snow clearing and gritting, the roads are generally in good shape even in winter.
